It is the 'fight' against change.
People thought the first steam power trains went too fast for the human body and that speed traveling on the train was blamed for many ills.
Wonder what those people would say about the speed of todays vehicles on roads as when those trains traveled at speeds that traffic does in urban areas now.
And of course there were the Luddites who opposed the first mechanization of production.
