Morris, Mb.
We don’t have one but a few neighbours do. When they are loaded up, those tires have terrible pinch rows when wet. This year all the fields look good. Last year, the one field hardly had any corn come up in the pinch rows and the planter left 8” deep ruts. They were pulling with a row crop quad. I am not sure why a planter this big doesn’t come with tracks. We have tracks and liquid on our new Holland sp580 (case 1200 bulk fill. We plant into the quad track tracks and planter tracks (planter was originally set up as a 15/30 split row then converted to 22” spacing but the tracks were never adjusted. Once it’s out of the ground you can’t tell which rows were in the tracks and which were not.
