I had an 2003 and now have a 2016. The 2016 gets about 1 mpg better than the old one did. The 2016 has averaged 13.5 over about 100,000. The 2016 pulls much better while the was a hp jump in those years it seem to me like the transmission helps pulling more than the extra hp. It seems much tighter with less loss in the converter.
Chevy 6.0 gas mileage?
