I believe it’s stainless steel chain, could be nickel plated as well. I went with regular timken 41 and 40 when I put new chain on this spring. Used 4 boxes of 41 chain. I may or may not soak them in oil next spring before I plant next year. Oil them when I put it away for the year and run them dry during planting.
Working from the bottom front of the row unit was the best way for me to connect the links.
