I would tell the adjuster to come out and collect nitrate and ammonium samples from the next big rain as it leaves my farm and dumps into a major creek. We all know that nitrogen “stays put”... if not used this year, 100% will be available NEXT year.....

Cuz that is why “smart” nitrogen use is all about throwing good fertilizer after bad just to make it look good for an auditors book audit.

Edit: Butch- I didn’t mean any offense to you/your post. I just think a farmer should be able to argue their case with a “nutrient stewardship-holding-the-moral-hill” strategy.
