Slugs are a common problem in West Coast veggies. Sluggo bait is widely used. Active is iron sulfate on a bait. Not sure but would guess the bait is molasses impregnated on a granulated cereal starch. Sluggo is also OMRI if I remember correctly.
They also make good fish bait. Just advertise pick your own.
