Northcentral Kansas | My understanding is that basically if the area is designated as a national heritage area all of the economic development folks for each county can pool their resources to promote tourism and apply for federal grants. I didn’t attend any of the rable rousing meetings held around the area but I did read the proposal. It’s not anything I think is really needed or a good idea but it isn’t the land grab that some are making it out to be. It is important to note that the national heritage area is in no way related to the presidents 30 by 30 executive order. | |
