Subject: Adding goats

Oklahoma
Grew up around sheep and seems the only way we make money with those is owning the ewes and keeping year around. And we haven't had any luck with sheep and electric fence.

Have a place I am strip grazing with poly wire that could use goats to eat what the cows aren't under pecan trees. Can goats be run successfully with the electric net fencing and moved every day or two? I know there is a strong market for goat but not sure that equates to buying goats and adding weight. Seems goats would be like ewes and need to own them year around and kidding out. Anyone doing it successful without owning the nannies?
