Wife and Myself did a 160 mile ranger ride yesterday-west central Iowa is dry-not many cattle in the feedlots-20 years ago we would have seen a lot of feed lots with fats getting ready-there disappearing fast-a lot of new shops and grain bins -very few silos or concrete being used-
I try to pass my gift of always a positive day feeding cattle-get in the game, grow some wasted feed into a profit-encourage buying those young calves and learning bunk management with a 5 gallon bucket-having livestock so that you can be diversified-
It looks like from what I see on the ranger rides the cattle generation is giving up-cant blame anyone-Add $500 on those cattle would sure help Iowa cattleman.
