NW IL | Cattle business is rough. Your target customer for those bulls is probably really small, even where you are in the last area of dairy. Down here those bulls bring whatever a kill buyer would pay. I imagine same kill guy ended up with them there to.
I watch week after week here some really nice Angus bulls get culled in special bull sales.
Just different world we live in these days. I imagine if the government doesn't intervene in rather short order and save fat cattle and milk markets for the farmers, everything will be vertically integrated and owned by packers etc, and farmers wont have much of a job anymore. | |
