Cows would end up wintered in Iowa when I ran my own cows once we are done working off the farm. So the feed deal isn’t a huge issues. Plenty of corn silage. Trucking costs is the only problem with the cows. But this is a ways down the road. Buying pasture in Iowa right now is gonna be 8-10k a cow for 2.5 acres if you don’t want 400 tiny pastures.
