Iowa
+1 The corn has not needed a lot of moisture up to this point, but it is starting to reach the growth stages where it will need a lot of moisture that is not currently there. The lawn is brown. The tile mains are almost dry. The rivers are very low. It is getting very hot and dry now. I've got pictures from 2012 at this time of year, and the crops looked better then than they do now (although they don't currently look too bad other than some uneven stands and frost damage). We took an 80 to 100 bu/acre yield hit in 2012. We've has just slightly over an inch of rain this spring up to this point. That's about 3.5 inches less than we had in 2012 at this point. Of course, that's only the view from my back yard. Most others probably got a little more rain that we missed, but not much more in a large area.
