I have an early F with the 4 row pickup. It kinda sucks in stalks. I wouldn’t recommend it. Stalks build up terrible in the corners then spreads across.

My understanding is they went to a 5 row pickup, and if you have all new teeth and flaps on the feed roll, and I think take out the outside row of teeth, (they had a guide to put on for stalks, doubt you can still find?) it works from what I hear.

An F set up like this isn't too bad, but a J is a lot better for stalks and a better tighter bale for not much more money.
