Dayton, IA | Got a new vermeer carted wheel rake 1224 last fall before cornstalks. First cutting alfalfa this week was first time raking a hay field. Hired man kept stopping on the end to raise it all the way up and let down. If you don't raise it all the way up one wing will sink down while the other goes up as you turn and makes a mess on the end. I didn't know what to tell him other than we shouldn't have to stop on each end with a rake. Do you just leave the ends till last to clean up whatever is there? I bought two flow dividers for a toolbar I was working on and only ended up needing one. Anyone ever put one in so you can just lift the wing a little bit on the turn and have them stay even?
