But in reality, high grain prices aren't the reason for high food prices, high grain prices are just the excuse for high food prices. Just for example, a 10oz bag of corn chips would increase in price roughly 3 cents with a $3 increase in corn prices.
Cattle would be the other example. Cattle prices are low but box prices are high. Yet the "experts" blame high grain prices. |
