southern MN | In my small circle of area we have some nice hay. It’s mostly ditch hay and grass from areas too wet to crop, but too dry to grow cattails. So this drier spring is helping us get some hay. I cut a half acre of my swamp, the tires were getting wet baling it but the hay was nice. Another week and much of that hay swamp might be dry enough to cut.
If it doesn’t rain and this heat, second cutting is a question of course.
Sure is tough in those dry regions, can’t imagine coping with just nothing growing.
