North Central Illinois | We have had enough rain in the last few weeks to keep us going but we have little to nothing in the subsoil profile. We actually did have subsoil moisture going into 2012 and that is what carried us through here. If you go south into central and southern parts of the state they had a much drier 2011 and didn't have much in the tank going into 2012. Those are the folks that were discing corn down in July and August. | |
