Subject: Mineral analysis

MO
I have a group of 10 3rd period bred heifers, and I’m wondering about their mineral consumption. I’m new to cattle so bare with me if it seems like I’m over reacting.

Right now I’m using vigortone grass grazer. The tag says not to exceed 4 oz per head per day to avoid selenium limits, and right now they are at roughly 5.3 oz.

Is this something I should be overly concerned about? Will they slow down after a while? Should I look to switch to a different mineral? Like I said, this is new to me so any advice is appreciated.
