Exactly! Individuals will almost always act in self interest and giant corporations are legally obligated to! If you think $1300 gross profit is a lot, I can almost assure you they are trying to figure out a way to make it $1400.
If it is in someone's "self interest" to defraud another party, you are saying they a "legally obligated" to do so. Your logic is not well thought out!!
Normally we differentiate between the two spheres of "self interest" and "lawbreaking".
