E.Central MN | Just go back and read all the travails of the meat packing plant that was built in Aberdeen a while back. It had lots of area support, got tons of free govt money and money taken from foreigners who used the program to get green cards. There were multiple delays in construction and it went bankrupt before it could get past the small scale testing phase because a govt agency that was going to loan them money to buy cattle said that the time limit on the loan had expired. That is a prime example of why nobody is rushing to build an independently owned big packing plant. | |
