Thinking buying feeder lambs and finishing them. Is there any money in it? Seems like most folks do it with self feeder and some free choice alfalfa. Does anybody have figures on cost per pound of gain? Or amount of corn pellets etc per pound of gain? What weights do you recommend buying and selling at? Is death loss generally large? Facilities? Vaccinations? Would this be a good way to get into sheep or would a guy be better off starting with ewes? Thanks.

I would suggest you find sources of supply and places to market finished lambs and then your other questions could be addressed.

Lots of ideas in my head and there are at least some others that would have information for you but these questions are one's that only you can answer.
