Everything had a very hard time. The mower and merger were plugging a lot. It was just to thick and long. We will not be putting the spring N on it next year.
IMO - - - - why wouldn't you want that fertility if you've got the moisture.
So the equipment is struggling - - - - but you've got LOTS of feed.
You might consider cutting at boot stage - - - your tonnage will drop somewhat but your feed quality would go through the roof!
Dairy guys love stands like that cut at boot - - - - - would cut your corn needed for finishing those feeders!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
