north east IN | Monday the neighbor came over and helped mow hay. Got a shower at noon for a couple minutes that got the road wet but the neighbor only got 9 drops. Mowed 227 acres and was done at 2 then went over and helped the neighbor bale 45 acres and got done at 7. Was going to start chopping at 10 but forgot the chopper was 20 miles away and needed a little work done on it so didn’t get started till 11. Everything went good till we got to the 80 acres of new seeding and can’t believe how much metal was in the hay then one of the bars on the pickup broke and a bearing was out. Got that fixed and chopped the last load just as it started to rain at midnight. Still raining this morning and first cutting is done. | |
