Subject: John Deere Boundary Fill

NEND

I was looking forward to having my tillage tractors use the Boundary Fill tracks. Shortly after planting last spring, I rented a Gator all set up to make boundaries and zipped around all my fields, making nice boundaries. This morning I was asking one of the guys that’s helps me how it was working. He said it was way off, so I looked in his display. Everything seemed ok, it was using the boundary I made with the Gator. After digging around in the help section, I learned that it makes the boundary fill track based on half the current track spacing. Here’s where I assumed incorrectly. I assumed it would recalculate the track if you changed implements/track spacing. It does not. Now that I know that, we’ll make a Boundary Fill track for each implement and name them accordingly. I had an Outback S2 about 15 years ago that made a line half the track spacing from the boundary. It would be handy if the John Deere display would do that, but we can work around it. It also would be very helpful if you could look in the Track info and see what track spacing the line was created with. I assumed that it would change positions when we changed implements when we made Boundary Fill tracks for all my fields last spring. I have no way of knowing what track spacing was set up when we made them, so now I’ll have to delete those and start over. Again on the wish list is to be able to create them in Op Center and send them out in a Work Plan
