Subject: GRAIN Assessment

I wish I knew how to use this forum!
Let me focus on the soybean checkoff. It is listed on CHS settlements as Grain Assessment, where as Cargill remains listing it as what it actually is, Soybean checkoff Tax. What do you know about it? I have studied it for several years, only to realize it is a well developed SCAM. Why do I say that. I have lived through the beginning farmer days, and the soybean checkoff has no concerns with beginning farms. They tell me that with the corn checkoff, you can fill out paper work to get your corn checkoff money returned to you. I have never done that, but have a sense of control knowing I can. I dont see the corn checkoff as exorbitant. Many questioned the accounting of the soybean checkoff for many years, as it was originated to expand soybean markets, soybean research and promote soybeans foreign and domestic. What happened! Has there been additional congressional language that allowed the (USB) United Soybean Board (controls the soybean checkoff) and the USDA to pool commodity checkoffs for what ever use they desire. Here is just one example: soybean checkoff was to be based on soybean farmers first destination transportation. i.e. farm to elevator (or coop). However, the soybean checkoff dollars have been used for river dredging in southern areas. This obviously would fall under 2nd destination transportation. Accordingly, it should be paid by the river ports, cargill, CHS etc. I suppose they vote on how they spend soybean checkoff dollars. But if you can imagine USB directors (ner'er do wells and brainwashed)(wined and dined and sent on overseas soybean related trips) receiving high salaries from the checkoff dollars, you can undetstand how the original intent of the soybean checkoff has been unscrupulously changed over time. Lets mention the soybean referandum vote held every four years on election year. Obviously, a secret agenda, lacking coordination between soybean farmers of all the soybean producing states. Did my attached file make it?
