We have had rain almost every day the past 7 days, so the beans have not grown much. Not much sun till today either. While I tried to get some better close up pics of individual bean plants, I was pleasantly surprised to see that most plants that had a busted stem damage from the roller were still alive, and seemed to be growing out of the damage. Not sure that I would make this a standard operating procedure, but it looks like it worked out decently. Most of the rye has stayed flat. Edit:-- as I suspected...with all the rain we have had, the disease pathogens are rearing their ugly heads. Lots of cercospora showing up in this field where NONE was showing yet last week.
