SW Saskatchewan | My MX 200 (5000 hrs) has had two of my remote hydraulic breakaways fail this year. The male end is ejected when the cylinder hits end of travel. First approach is to try new male end(hope springs eternal) but I have to replace the female cartridge($200.00 per cartridge with gaskets, o-rings etc).
In both cases the cartridge had divided in two- the rear portion about the spring retainer had become disconnected from the "in-out" connector and had mangled the spring causing it to have to be removed as a single wire rather than as a coil. The front portion could be pulled out with a pair of pliers but the rear portion of the cartridge is refusing to come out through the hole!
How can I get these little SOB's out of there! Do I need to buy complete new assemblies?
Never did appreciate the JD leakers on the 4450 and my 8970, but these Case units are in a class by themselves.
Help anyone? | |
