Northern Idaho | In my area basically we are not limited by steep hills. Mostly the thing that determines if it is farmed is how rocky the ground is. There were some fields cleared for farming at one point but the soil was so thin and rocky that they are now back in grass.
These pics show that the farmland edge is defined by rocks, while the canyon sides are too steep to farm we could farm a little bit closer to them if it werent for the rocks.
