Subject: Low Oil Shutdown on Tecumseh Motor

Schomberg, Ontario, Canada
I have a small Tecumseh motor on a Coleman generator. The low oil sensor keeps shutting down the engine, even if the oil level is full. It may run for hours, or can shut down every five minutes. Can I cut the wire and ground it out?? There is a wire going from the ignition area down to a small block on the bottom of the crankcase. I am assuming this is the culprit. Thanks!!
