Subject: photos of soil forming over rock

Oswald No-Till Farm Cleghorn, IA
Attached are photos from a couple trips. I often take "no-till" photos that show why I feel as I do. And yes, earthworms may be a negative, but also might not be.

1- Mt. Desert Island soil formed on 1500' of granite. Acadia National Park near Bar Harbor Maine
2- Lake Louise Alberta Canada narrow trail cable, flowers, rock ledge
3- Lake Louise Alberta Canada, split trail, soil formed on top of rock in trail
4- Me heading back to Lake Louise from Plain of Seven Glacier viewpoint. My wife wasn't happy with the steep, narrow trail. I forget how many miles/km we hiked that day, we were out over 8 hours and gained over 1200' in elevation. The hotel is something like 4 miles in the distance and we extended the return leg to catch another trail... it was a great day though overcast.
