Southeastern Alberta | Bad news for the peas after canola. Canola is a non-host for mycorrhizal infection, while peas are very dependent on it for their nutrient uptake (very important with P). There is documented evidence of yield drag with peas after canola because of this (look at that, I'm starting to use words like the corn growers). I have a neighbor that does it and it sounds like it usually 5 to 8 bu less. | |
