South central, Nebraska | I do not know anything about Land_Surfers fields or operating conditions.
The question was "How many bushels/hour of corn (20 %)are you pushing through a 2388?"
I will try to give a little more information as to my conditions.
My 2388 will harvest 3000 to 3100 BPH flow in good yielding heavy corn @ 20% and less moisture on relatively flat terrain. The elevator is set on the standard sprocket and I have seen the flow record over 3400 BPH on this sprocket. I have not been able to get a answer from CIH as to what the capacity of standard and high speed settings are capable of? I do know the high speed was set on this machine from the factory and the elevator boots and chain had to be replaced too darn soon. I switched it to the standard setting. Again, I have never been able to get an answer from CIH as to what the capacity each sprocket has. The only description the BOOK gives regarding this selection is "use the high speed sprocket in high yielding crops"(relative to what)? It give absolutely no reference to flow rates of the elevator?
There are many conditions that may reduce the BPH flow but in good conditions with dryer corn, I believe you could get even more that 3300 BPH up the elevator. | |
