My city wife has developed into quite the farm hand. After my dads fatal accident in 2004 my wife really became interested in helping out. She had run the combine a little before that but now she is basically the sole operator. She probably logs 3/4 of all the machinery hours on our farm now. I've become the fix it and keep it running guy. About the only thing she doesn't do much of is hay baling and spraying. She doesn't like staying up late but gets up BEFORE the roosters. I'm a night owl so it works out good. She will bale in a pinch though. The only problem with our scenario is that she is a workaholic and truly wears me out. I think it's because she's like a kid in the candy store and I've been in the store a little longer!
