The guy was thrilled to "just get out of the house" and do something. (His wife was more thrilled)
I guess this situation is almost he's a mentor to me. He's about 35 years older than me.
The job he's currently laid off from is only a job for him to have something to do in his well deserved retirement years. And the little bit of spending cash from that job was just icing on the cake.
