Grazing standing corn like this gives you a lot of cow-days at a time when it is very much needed. I don't know how this would work in GA but might be worth a try. Maybe talk to a neighbor who grows corn regularly for guidance.

In S WI I figured well over 300 cow-days/acre grazing last year. But you do need to limit them with an electric wire or else they will go over whatever area you give them and eat ALL of the ears first. 

Maybe try a couple acres?  Good luck.
