Subject: RE: Kixor concerns

USA
First let me say, I think Kixor has it's place. But the more I look at this product the less enthused I get. Am concerned about crop safety.

IMO the best place to use Kixor, is an early burndown for soybeans where MT is a problem, followed by Authority First or Sonic at planting time. This application needs to be at least 30 days after Kixor application. 1 oz rate of Sharpen, is probably not going to provide the amount of residual a person needs to keep TWH under control.

Am kickening around the idea of using 6/10 oz Sharpen sprayed before the middle of April followed by 3 oz AF or Sonic 30 days or more later. OpTill at 1 oz would have the same amount of Kixor as .6 oz of Sharpen. OpTill should cost around $5- $5.50 per oz.

As far as corn, Integrity looks too pricey for what it provides. At $1.20 per oz, Integrity is going to cost $15.60 per acre for the midpoint rate of 13 oz. A person could use 3oz of Corvus, plus 1 point of Generic Dual for that amount of money and have a stronger chemical program.

It takes 24 oz of Integrity to equal the amount of Outlook in 4.5 pints of Gaurdsman Max.

Other drawbacks to Integrity Vs Corvus.

1) Integrity has to be applied before crop emergence, Corvus can be applied up to V2.

2) Integrity only provides Burndown for broadleaf weeds, Corvus will provide burndown for both grass and broadleaf weeds.

3) Integrity is a bulk product, Corvus comes in a 2.5 gal jug.
