Drive like you have an egg under the accelerator pedal. I've taught 2 B-I-L's and 1 sister to drive our semi this fall. Biggest problem they all have is that they stab at the throttle when it doesn't fall right into the next gear. You need to change engine RPM's slowly to give yourself a chance to find the right RPM combination for your speed and selected gear. You ease into or out of the throttle when you're shifting. It takes practice. | |
