SWOH | We've been using Canopy EX, cropoil, and 24D on bean ground but that pretty much locks you in. This year we're trying just 24D and glyphosate on a few acres because that's what Mark Loux from Ohio State recommends. I still can't see how that helps much, but he usually knows his stuff so we tried it. We got a gallon of Sharpen, too. It'll be a good one if it does what they say it'll do. We just use a pound of simazine (Princep) on all the corn ground and it usually holds out great. I've also heard good things about Autumn but haven't tried any....it's ok'd for corn or beans I think. Or Valor. The benefit for us is being able to get in earlier in the spring, stuff dries a lot faster when it's clean. And helps cut down on some insects too. I don't know if I'm gonna get everything covered this fall though, all done with the corn ground but about 800 acres of bean ground I need to get. | |
