sc kansas | Larry I assume that was an early N6 and that is why they have a bad name. Guys like your self had the early ones and yes they were junk. I know a man that bought two in 79 and he says those two machines single handedly broke him. 83 and 84 were a totally different machine. I am not looking for an argument but I can clean and save with any combine. (as long as the accel rollers are good. LOL) I have cut 2500 acres with mine the last two years (total) and have had minumal down time. Less than our 9600 has had. 2500 acers x 23.00 per is 57,500.00. Not bad for a machine I gave 7500.00 for. I did blow the motor right after I got it but I knew when I bought it, it had water in the oil. 1750.00 or a salvage motor with 500 hours on it. If you have the means, yes, buy somthing bigger, newer, faster, more better. grin. | |
