Nusbaum Farms LLC Bellfountain, OR | Most of you guys are way overthinking it. Make an A-frame towbar that you can bolt or clamp to the back axle of the combine. Remove the steering cylinder, disconnect the final drives, combine will follow fine.
I've pulled some dead 760's around this way. I pulled one home from 22 miles away that I made into a runner, probably didn't get over about 12 mph with it. I pulled another from the same farm that was strictly a parts machine. I was so comfortable with the operation that I had it up to D4 wide open in the 8430 on straight stretches.
Beware: they don't back up worth a spit.
