 Butterfield, MN | They may actually be talking about the CORS network. I know that Minnesota and Iowa both have it, and it uses cell towers as your base station more or less if you think about it like typical RTK. Accuracy is not quite as good as traditional RTK, but it will still be very repeatable, and the cost of the systems is lower. Usually it is plenty good for typical operations. The other option that I've heard of that actually uses a cell type receiver is Ranchview. They are able to work with some Trimble and Raven receivers (as well as likely others) that use a traditional base station, but have a much larger radius than the normal RTK systems.
