Mid-Missouri | Don't forget you won't have brakes, assuming the brakes are inside from the disconnects. Once I had the D7 stuck in a pond. It has a rear drawbar similiar to a versatile tractor we had in the area. I took a 10 foot I beam and made a hole on each end for the hitch pin. I then reinforced the outer end to prevent the hole from being ripped out. Not only did this I-beam pull the dozer out, but we kept it on and finished leveling the mucky pond, without getting stuck. This gave us the advantage to be able to push as well as pull the dozer. If that won't work, for towing, maybe a tow rope from the back on a good sized tractor to help slow it down going down big hills. Don't make this bargain turn into a headache. | |
