just a tish NE of central ND | Does anyone else wish they could see the material that flows through the return elevator while the combine is in operation? It sure would help a guy fine tune a combine lower seive adjustment/ fan/ threshing job, wouldn't it?The ol Gleaners used to have a open slide area you could watch and maybe even get a sample out of .....The old SP JD's (55's amd maybe the 95's) had a door to flip open so you could watch the material flow. I find that handy and often wish i could see into the combines we sue today..It makes sense to me to have visibility of that material to see if there is MOG or not in the sample.Short of the kill stall...... does anyone have a handier way to examine the flow/ contents??I woudl think it would be handy in trying to clean up sunflower samples without overloading the return with good heavy clean seed. |
