Anyone here wear Thorogood lace up boots? They are made in USA which is my major draw to them but wondering if someone has first foot experience? The redwings I like are Chinese made and this second pair I’ve owned is shot after 13-14 months. I’d like to buy a USA made workbook, non steel toe and lace up. Are there any other brands I need to look at? I’m an 11 wide foot and the only Thorogoods at my local boot barn were 11 and they were too tight in the middle of my foot. They had an 11W but it was steel toe. I’m crouched down on my toes way too much for a steel toe.

Thanks for reading.

Caleb

My family owns 9 pair of them. I have four boys plus myself. The boots on the boys get passed down to the younger kids. The girls will wear them once the boys outgrow.

For adults (me) I get 2.5 to 3 years out of pair when used on the farm. I use Nor-V-Gen boot oil a couple times a year to keep them from drying out. For me the failure is usually split leather at the sole. I get them wet a lot and Probabaly shouldn’t.

I buy them at The Shoe Box in Black Earth, WI. They usually have all sizes and widths in stock. I wear a 9.5 and they fit well. They’re made in Wisconsin so they are the only boot I will buy. Quality is good and usually always cheaper than Red Wing.
