I'd bet $20k wouldn't get his tractor bought on an online auction. Perhaps I'm wrong. I own a sideline business buying and selling, have for 20 years, so fairly certain I know that of which I speak. A public auction is not wholesale, if it’s open to the public, it’s a retail auction. And yes, perhaps on the right day, It might bring $20,000. But the OP asked for trade price, which is what I quoted. The reality is, at those hours, it’s really about a decent salvage tractor. Way too easy too spend more in one major repair than it’s worth. The OP also neglected to post pics, so it could be a real turd, or it could be real nice. His version of condition may vary greatly from mine, and if I’m writing the check, my version carries more weight.
