In places I drive through a lot, I prefer two 8's over a 16 as I can just open one and slip through with my side-by-side when a gang of cows are on the other side.
All my fields have at least one set of two 12's so I can always get in each field with a big dozer or drag a tree or something through the gateway.
16 foot gate or two 8 foot gates?
