NC Indiana | Still planning to put wheat our here. Last yr was 11/4 when we planted and then went the next week and planted 30 ac's for the neighbor's. We sow 1.6 million seeds/ac. w/ a n/t drill though we have broadcast it w/ the fertilizer in the past and ran an 8 ft pull type disk set on straigh angle over it. We have a smart-till now and have thought about using that to incorperate it as we can run 8 mph. Beans or silage corn have been tried around here, but it varies greatly by season. I try to use cover crops after the wheat as we try to get manure on that ground. | |
