I would encourage you....Southern Illinois is ALLMOST done....too wet and too late
Double crop beans or corn would be my bet on your acres.
In Mississippi I would bet that you could sow soft red winter wheat (SRW) all the way to thanksgiving
Kill all weeds with a disk or roundup
2 bushel per acre
Check out University of Kentucky they study wheat-double crop better than most
