If your tractor 1000 RPM shaft is in good shape and with a new front CV joint, it should run smooth.
Years back the 4630 I bought ended up having a shaft with worn splines and were left with little choice but to replace it. The tractor had to be split at least twice even though it's a simple shaft. It runs smooth now with my 566 switched to 1000 RPM.
