EC ND | Did the same idea with an old 4K butler on micada hopper bottoms, wouldn’t do it again. Had to install a ladder, flex seal the crap out of the door way patch and install new vents.
For a couple bucks more, just get new steel with bigger fill and man holes. Along with lid openers, ladder, vents, and an air fan.
If you don’t put it on skids, make sure the concrete base is overbuilt on the outside where the legs go.
For 1200 bu, look for a smooth wall bin. I wouldn’t waste money adding a hopper for that small of size. Do it it right and size for your needs not just now but for the future. | |
